Sam Ghezzi Blues Band

Sam Ghezzi swings the blues - singer, tenor saxophone blower and harmonica sucker - presents to you a blues band under his own name with Europe-based musicians on guitar, baritone saxophone, double bass and drums.

The band revives a specific style of blues called “Chicago Blues”, an electric style that was played by musicians at rent parties and in the streets of Chicago Illinois in the 50’s, and “Jump Blues”, an up-tempo and swinging style with many influences from the jazz of the 40’s.

Corner Pocket Jazz Band

The Corner Pocket Jazz Band, Led by Jon Tigert, of Baltimore, MD, is dedicated to celebrating the swinging sounds of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. While the history of the origin of the band name is a mystery, what we do know is that Corner Pocket Jazz Band is always a fresh sound. This band configuration is made up from Jon+ whichever friends(talented musicians) are available and nearby. And we like it that way, providing a chance to find new angles on every tune every night. This will be the FIRST TIME this band plays in Europe.

Gordon Au: Tribute to Louis Armstrong & His All-Stars

“I wanted to give dancers the chance to hear the music of the All-Stars with a live band, and to dance to it and fall in love with it.” - Gordon

Initially premiered at Lindy Focus XVIII, Gordon Au arranged and adapted an incredible tribute to Louis Armstrong & His All-Stars, giving dancers the chance to hear the music of the All-Stars with a live band, and to dance to it and fall in love with it. Debuting at the Saturday Late night for the first time in Europe. Gordon will lead another powerhouse group of musicians through this unforgettable experience.

The Jakub Zomer Quintet

You know them you love them ;), you may remember them as the Organ Grinders - of course they are back! This year headed up by Jakub Zomer, talented organist and pianist, this is a Hammond-organ based swing and blues project, featuring some of Prague’s top blues and jazz musicians. Their mission is to serve up a wild ride to the roots of blues and swing in a dancer-friendly package, so you can expect a groove-it-or-lose-it good time!

Gordon Au and The Grand St Stompers

Lead by the mpeccably trained trumpeter Gordon Au, Lazy River All-Stars is New Orleans-style hot jazz & swing band, reviving and refreshing the music of the 1920s onward for today’s dancers, and music fans. With the talent and experience from top traditional jazz players from around the globe, we are lucky to have these cats swingin hard for us Sunday night.
